Ripples on a Koi Pond

Ponds on our property are not only peaceful spots to relax but bring all kinds of wildlife. Everything from frogs to deer show up. Last year, we added goldfish to one of the larger ponds and watching them feed on the floating food made me think of this shawl project.

Pattern is for a stole/scarf size, but provides a larger size for a shawl. Your choice.

Enjoy.

Terra Cotta Garden Shawl

Here's a pattern for a simple lace, rectangular shawl with nice drape. Shown in a dk weight, but you can use any weight yarn, depending how warm you want it. Adjust needle size so the yarn has a soft drape.

Dark Skies Blanket

Here’s a pattern that can be made as a baby blanket or lap throw. The pattern design actually runs into the top and bottom border edges creating an interesting detail.

The beautiful texture is a simple lace pattern imbedded in a knit-purl stitch creating a strong design that is impressive for a baby gift or masculine enough for a guy.

Enjoy!

Fairy Tale Blanket

Happy Autumn!

Here’s a pattern that can be made as a baby blanket or lap throw. It’s a surprisingly easy slipped stitch pattern that has a row to lift the strands up while knitting. You get the “impressive” surface design without a lot of work. Think of it as the “bang of cables” but simpler.

Enjoy!

(pdf does not show gauge of 14 sts = 4”/10cm)
